Abstract

This research aimed to 1) develop and determine the efficiency of an educational application on Algorithms for Prathom Suksa 5 students according to the 80/80 criterion, 2) compare students' computational-thinking and problem-solving skills after use against the 80% benchmark, 3) compare pre- and post-learning achievement, and 4) examine students' satisfaction. The target group comprised 30 Prathom Suksa 5 students at Wat Khaoklai School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, second semester of academic year 2025 (B.E. 2568), selected by purposive sampling. Instruments included the application, lesson plans, achievement tests, computational-thinking and problem-solving assessments, and a satisfaction questionnaire, analyzed with mean, S.D., one-sample t-test, paired-samples t-test, and the efficiency index (E1/E2). Results showed 1) the application achieved an efficiency index of 91.00/80.67, exceeding the 80/80 criterion. 2) Post-use computational-thinking and problem-solving scores (96.30% and 83.30% respectively) significantly exceeded the 80% benchmark (p < .05). 3) Post-test achievement was significantly higher than pre-test achievement (p < .001), and overall satisfaction was at the highest level.
