Project Evaluation on Management Support for Vocational Education Institutions toward Specialized Excellence in Fine Arts, Saraburi Vocational College

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the contextual appropriateness, input factors, processes and appropriateness, and outcomes of the "Vocational Education Institution towards Specialized Excellence Project" in Fine Arts at Saraburi Vocational College. The study applied Stufflebeam’s CIPP Evaluation Model. The sample group consisted of 250 participants selected from vocational and high vocational certificate students (Por Wor Chor and Por Wor Sor levels) in specialized fields of Arts. The data collection tools included: a 5-point rating scale questionnaire; enrollment record forms; academic performance record forms; and awards record forms. The statistics used for data analysis were mean ( ), percentage, and standard deviation (S.D.).
The research findings revealed that the context evaluation overall was rated at the highest appropriate level (  = 4.58, S.D. = 0.52). The input evaluation overall was rated at the highly appropriate level (  = 4.15, S.D. = 0.48). The process evaluation was also rated at the highly appropriate level (  = 4.12, S.D. = 0.52). In terms of product evaluation, the number of new student enrollments increased (90.72%). The assessment of students' academic achievement showed the average scores increased by 3.10%, which met the evaluation criteria. Furthermore, the project was found to be aligned with the policies of the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC)
