A STUDY OF LEARNING MANAGEMENT USING EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION AND INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY TO PROMOTE ACTIVE LEARNING AMONG EDUCATION STUDENTS IN BANGKOK

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to: (1) investigate the problems associated with ICT-based learning management for promoting active learning among education students in Bangkok; (2) examine the level of ICT-based learning management for promoting active learning; and (3) compare students’ perceptions of ICT-based learning management for active learning across different year levels. This study employed a quantitative survey research design. The sample consisted of 398 education students in Bangkok selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, together with one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The findings revealed that the overall level of problems related to ICT-based learning management was high (M = 3.91, SD = 0.73), while the overall level of ICT-based learning management for promoting active learning was also high (M = 4.25, SD = 0.54). In addition, students from different year levels demonstrated significantly different perceptions of ICT-based learning management for active learning, F(3, 394) = 4.22, p = .006.
