ADAPTATION FACTORS RELATED TO GRADE OF FIRST YEAR BACHELOR OF NURSING STUDENTS IN COLLEGE OF NURSING UNDER THE FACULTY OF NURSING, PRABOROMARAJCHANOK INSTITUTE

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research. (quantitative research) aims to study adaptation and adaptation factors that correlate with academic achievement of the first year bachelor's degree nursing students in the college of nursing under the faculty of nursing Phraboromrajchanok Institute. Population used in this study first year bachelor of nursing student at the college of nursing under the faculty of nursing Praboromrajchanok Institute, 3,949 people, the sample size is 134 people, using the G*power program with a confidence level of 95%. The questionnaire used the concept of adaptation of Roy, 1999, the overall questionnaire. The alpha coefficient = 0.89. The computer data was analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation and the correlation coefficient (Correlation Analysis). Results: Most of the students are female. Age in the range of 19-20 years old, single status, receiving support from parents. There is academic, social, emotional, and participation in college activities at a high level learning adjustment and participation in college activities was a statistically significant correlated factor with student achievement. (p-value<0.05). Suggestion: Support, focus and promote academic so that students have better academic achievement and arrange appropriate participation in college activities in order to affect the academic achievement of students throughout the program.
