Development of Thai Language Teaching Technology Media for Skill Enhancement Reading Thai Phuan Local Literature in Nan Province

Abstract

The research objectives aim to 1) study technological media that promotes reading skills in Thai language teaching, 2) develop Thai language teaching technology media for promoting local Tai Phuan literature reading skills in Nan Province and 3) evaluate the effectiveness of using Thai language teaching technology media to promote reading skills in Thai Phuan local literature, a mixed research method was employed. The researcher developed electronic teaching materials thru the internet network and created content for Thai Phuan local literature lessons in Nan Province. Additionally, a lesson quality assessment form was created, and subject matter experts were asked to verify the accuracy of the content and program format. The efficiency testing methods included individual testing with 30 participants and group testing with 80 participants. The statistics used in this research were the efficiency values E1/E2, mean, and standard deviation.

The research findings

1. The development of Thai language teaching technology media to promote reading skills in local Thai Phuan literature, Nan Province, involves six main sequential steps. If all these steps are followed, it confirms that the developed media and the accompanying measurement and evaluation sets are ready for use, accurate, and capable of fulfilling the designed objectives before proceeding to the actual implementation stage.
2. The process of developing Thai language teaching technology media to promote reading skills in local Thai Phuan literature, Nan Province, consists of six main sequential steps. These steps ensure that the media can function according to the designed objectives before moving on to the actual implementation stage.
3. Systematic development through careful planning, creation, verification, and quality evaluation by experts ensures that the key characteristics of quality and effective media are achieved. These include content that is accurate and appropriate for the learners and the local context, promotion of interaction and diverse activities, stimulation of creative learning and analytical thinking, a user-friendly and engaging design that is not boring, the ability to accommodate diverse learners, and the potential for continuous improvement and development.
