The Participation of People in Solid Waste Management at Tamnaktham Sub-District, Nongmuangkai District Phrae Province

Abstract

This research aims are: to study and compare the participation of people in solid waste management at Tamnaktham Sub-district, Nongmuangkai District Phrae Province and study process of development of the participation of people in solid waste management at Tamnaktham Sub-district, Nongmuangkai District Phrae Province. This research was using Mixed Methods Research, By Quantitative Research and Qualitative Research. The research studies with the participation of people in solid waste management at Tamnaktham Sub-district, Nongmuangkai District Phrae, group of samples of these studies were 357 people who live in Tamnaktham Sub-district, Nongmuangkai District Phrae Province. The research tool was a questionnaire and to analyze the data using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) research. To analyze the Frequency, percentage, Average (Mean) and Standard Deviation, compared by testing the hypothesis, by testing the values t-test and F-test, values by one way Analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA), and to in Depth Interview with a group of key information 8 persons and content analysis was presented in a descriptive form.

The findings of this studies found that: The opinion of people on the participation of people in solid waste management at Tamnaktham Sub-district, Nongmuangkai District Phrae overall at a high level ( =3.75, S.D. = 0.377) Incase sex is rejecting hypothesis and another are age education career income and living time in community are not different, therefore rejected the hypothesis. And guideline that process for development of participation of people in solid waste management at Tamnaktham Sub-district, Nongmuangkai District Phrae Province for reduction waste, should appoint committee and have meeting as usual to do activity, should manage the rule for participation in waste reduction. Should follow ancestor’s action by bamboo basket when they went to shopping, use banana leaf cover food and food carrier can reduce waste. The waste separation should have committee and meeting of people about specify for waste separation, support waste separation project in village and knowledge about waste ex. General waste, recycle, dangerous waste, disintegrate waste. The reuse should have committee and meeting for planning, train basic for reuse and bring waste to reuse to many kinds of innovation ex. Decoration and child’s toy etc.
