Abstract

Research study “A Study of Knowledge, Understanding and Development Approaches of Local Leaders in the Succession Law: Case Study in Pa Daeng Subdistrict, Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province” The main research objectives were 1) To study the understanding of local leaders in Succession Law. 2) To study the method in local leaders’ development in knowledge and understanding the Succession Law. This research is Qualitative Research. The researcher studies form documentary and field study that used the questionaries ‘in-depth interview was conducted with a target group of 30 people and focus group discussion with 10 populations

Succession law is a law that deals with the general provisions of inheritance, Statutory Right of inheritance, Will, Administration and Distribution of an Estate, Vacant Estates and Prescription under the Civil and Commercial Code, Book 6. It is a necessary law that everyone should study when death occurs. How will the property of the deceased be handled? which is very beneficial to the relatives of the deceased it can be used in everyday life and can give advice to other people who want to know about the Succession law.

Guidelines for developing local leaders in knowledge and understanding of Succession Law,
it was found There are 4 important guidelines: 1) Legal education services to local leaders by organizing a project to disseminate knowledge on Succession law for local leaders 2) Organize activities to develop legal capacity for local leaders by establishing a Legal Clinic or a Justice Clinic or a mobile legal advice center for local leaders 3) Publicize and disseminate knowledge about the Succession Law, which can be done through various media such as the voice community in the village, Local newspaper.
4) Establish a center for the coordination of local leaders. Coordinating with the various justice agencies in the area in case of legal problems or disputes.
