สุขภาพจิตของผู้สูงอายุในประเทศไทย: การศึกษาเปรียบเทียบกับ ญี่ปุ่น อิตาลี และสแกนดิเนเวีย

ประเทศไทยกำลังก้าวเข้าสู่สังคมผู้สูงอายุอย่างสมบูรณ์ ท่ามกลางความท้าทายด้านสุขภาพจิตที่ทวีความรุนแรงมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะภาวะซึมเศร้า ความเหงา และการแยกตัวทางสังคม งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์เชิงเปรียบเทียบสถานการณ์ แนวโน้ม ปัจจัยเสี่ยง และแนวทางการดูแลสุขภาพจิตผู้สูงอายุของประเทศไทยกับประเทศที่มีประสบการณ์ในการจัดการด้านนี้อย่างยาวนาน ได้แก่ ญี่ปุ่น อิตาลี และกลุ่มประเทศสแกนดิเนเวีย (โดยเน้นประเทศสวีเดน)
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า แม้แต่ละประเทศจะมีระบบสุขภาพและบริบทสังคมที่แตกต่างกัน แต่ล้วนเน้นการลดความโดดเดี่ยวทางสังคม การส่งเสริมชุมชนให้มีบทบาท การดูแลสุขภาพจิตแบบบูรณาการ และการใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลในการเข้าถึงบริการ จุดเด่นของแต่ละประเทศ เช่น Community Cafés และ Dementia Supporter Caravan ในญี่ปุ่น, ศูนย์สุขภาพจิตชุมชน (CMHCs) ในอิตาลี และระบบฐานข้อมูลผู้สูงอายุ (Senior Alert) และโมเดลบูรณาการ Nortraeije ของสวีเดน สามารถประยุกต์ใช้เป็นต้นแบบที่เหมาะสมกับบริบทไทย
ข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายคือ การพัฒนาระบบดูแลสุขภาพจิตผู้สูงอายุในประเทศไทยควรเน้นการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน การบูรณาการระหว่างภาครัฐและท้องถิ่น การใช้เครือข่ายอาสาสมัคร เช่น อสม. และการผสมผสานนวัตกรรมร่วมสมัยกับระบบความเชื่อทางศาสนา เช่น บทบาทของพระสงฆ์ในชุมชน เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและสุขภาวะจิตของผู้สูงอายุไทยอย่างยั่งยืน
