Factors Influencing the Success of Graduate Students in Thesis Completion in the Context of Thai Higher Education

The situation regarding the success of thesis completion among graduate students in Thailand reflects numerous challenges stemming from individual factors, environmental influences, and the structure of educational institutions. The most common issues include delays in thesis completion and high withdrawal rates. These problems are caused by heavy workloads, time pressure, lack of motivation, poor time management, and fragile mental health. Furthermore, the relationship with academic advisors, institutional support systems, and access to resources significantly influence students' success.
This academic article aims to present three key points: the current situation of thesis completion among graduate students, the importance of graduate education, and the factors influencing thesis success. The expected benefit of this literature review is to provide a critical synthesis of existing academic perspectives in order to understand the underlying causes of delays in thesis completion from individual, social, and systemic viewpoints. Moreover, it proposes practical support strategies, such as skill development, mental health care, and curriculum restructuring, to reduce dropout rates and enhance the overall quality of graduate education in the long term.
