DEVELOPING VOCATIONAL WORKFORCE IN AN ERA OF VULNERABILITY : CHALLENGES AND ADAPTATION STRATEGIES INTRODUCTION

This academic article presents the development of the vocational workforce in an era of vulnerability, with a particular focus on adapting to the rapid technological and economic changes, which pose significant challenges in the present day. The author will present an analysis of the current situation of vocational workforce development, leading to the development of essential digital skills for industry, and propose strategies for adapting vocational education curricula to incorporate lifelong learning theory. This approach aims to develop a vocational workforce that is capable of adapting in an era filled with uncertainty. The knowledge presented in this article will assist in designing vocational education curricula that can accommodate technological and economic changes in the digital age and Industry 4.0. The results of the study offer a framework for developing education curricula that respond to the challenges of the modern era, equipping learners with the necessary skills to adapt to the rapid developments in industry and the economy. The transfer of knowledge should be carried out through training and development programs for educators in various fields, enabling them to integrate experiential learning and digital technology into their teaching methods. Furthermore, the application of research findings in the design of educational policies will support learning that is responsive to the changes in both the economy and society, ensuring that learners can develop sustainable skills and flexibility to adapt to the rapidly evolving labor market.
