This study aimed to examine university students’ behaviors in choosing artificial intelligence (AI) platforms, their levels of digital literacy, and their attitudes toward AI. It also sought to analyze differences in attitudes based on cumulative grade point average (GPA) and to investigate the relationship between digital literacy and attitudes toward AI. The sample consisted of 177 students obtained through simple random sampling, with data collected using an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage, as well as inferential statistics, including dummy multiple regression, Pearson’s correlation, and simple linear regression. The results showed that most students preferred to use ChatGPT, followed by Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. In addition, students demonstrated high levels of digital literacy and attitudes toward AI. Overall GPA did not significantly predict attitudes, except students with the highest GPA (3.50–4.00) had significantly more positive attitudes than those with the lowest GPA. The findings also revealed that digital literacy was positively and moderately correlated with attitudes toward AI and explained 40% of the variance. These results highlightted the importance of enhancing digital literacy to promote positive attitudes toward AI use in higher education.
