It analyzes this issue through the lens of religious doctrines, Islamic ethics, and the contemporary Thai social context. The analysis reveals that, based on evidence from the Qur’an and Hadith, gambling is explicitly prohibited (haram) and is considered to cause serious harm both spiritually and socially. Legalizing casinos in Thailand may result in significant social, economic, and moral consequences, particularly within Muslim communities, where gambling is forbidden. Consequently, English proficiency is a fundamental skill required for medical students to effectively learn, analyze, and communicate. In the context of Thailand, where English is not the primary language, the development of English skills among medical school applicants faces social and structural inequalities. Although the Portfolio-Based Admission system allows candidates to demonstrate diverse competencies beyond single examinations, standardized English tests such as TOEFL and IELTS have become key indicators that advantage economically privileged applicants, leading to inequities in access. The integration of English in medical curricula should focus on enhancing analytical and communicative skills within clinical contexts while addressing educational disparities to promote equity. The research instruments were (1) skill training kit, (2) pre-test and post-test using the skill training kit, and (3) satisfaction questionnaire. The paper explores both traditional and emerging post-COVID-19 trends in R&amp;D, and introduces a conceptual framework for Adaptive Learning Innovation that addresses learner diversity. The population consisted of 1,831 teachers from schools affiliated with the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office. A sample of 330 teachers was selected using stratified random sampling.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The results showed that: 1) the overall level of administrators’ soft skills was high (x̅ = 4.20, SD = 0.60). In descending order, the mean scores were: problem-solving skills (x̅ = 4.29, SD = 0.52), leadership (x̅ = 4.23, SD = 0.51), communication (x̅ = 4.20, SD = 0.58), ethics and morality (x̅ = 4.15, SD = 0.79), and teamwork (x̅ = 4.15, SD = 0.58); 2) the overall level of academic administration was high (x̅ = 4.34, SD = 0.65), with the highest means in assessment and evaluation (x̅ = 4.35, SD = 0.65), learning process development (x̅ = 4.35, SD = 0.61), educational supervision (x̅ = 4.33, SD = 0.66), and curriculum development (x̅ = 4.31, SD = 0.67); &nbsp;3) there was a statistically significant positive correlation between soft skills and academic administration at the moderate level (r, p &lt; .01). The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative research using questionnaires and qualitative research through in-depth interviews.</p> <p>The results of the analysis of opinions on the overall short course curriculum management process for lifelong learning revealed a high level of agreement ( = 4.00, S.D. = 0.863). All aspects were rated at a high level, with the average scores ranked from highest to lowest as follows: Provision of facilities – high level ( = 4.17, S.D. = 1.003) Needs assessment and analysis for short course development – high level ( = 4.10, S.D. = 0.650) Implementation of short course training – high level ( = 4.08, S.D. = 0.985) Services and publicity – high level ( = 3.98, S.D. = 1.002) Measurement and evaluation – high level ( = 3.90, S.D. = 1.260) Utilization of knowledge gained – high level ( = 3.90, S.D. = 1.260) Registration fees – high level ( = 3.88, S.D. = 1.002).</p> <p>The innovative short course curriculum management process for lifelong learning in Surin Province consists of four main steps: Surveying the needs of target groups Analyzing the demand for short courses Designing and developing short course curricula Publicizing short course curricula In the case of non-credit short courses, learners who pass the evaluation will receive a certificate of completion. A mixed methods research design was employed, integrating both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative data were collected from 381 residents aged between 18 and 65 years who were registered in the municipal area. The qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, including officials from the Department of Local Administration, municipal officers, and community leaders, selected through purposive sampling.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The findings revealed that 1) the desirable characteristics of local leaders, as rated by the public, were at a high level, especially in terms of morality and ethics, decisiveness, communication skills, goal achievement, and vision; 2) the most desired leadership traits included goal-setting and commitment to success, followed by communication ability, knowledge and skills, vision, and inspiration; 3) statistically significant differences (at the 0.05 level) were found in public opinion based on age and income; 4) leadership factors such as vision, knowledge and skills, inspiration, and goal-setting with commitment significantly influenced the desirable characteristics of local leaders (at the 0.05 level); and 5) development guidelines were identified in three areas: (1) leadership attributes such as accessibility, empathy, and courageous decision-making; (2) essential leader qualities including administrative competency and a focus on improving quality of life; and (3) internal and external leadership factors, including knowledge, experience, responsibility, budget, personnel, and the use of modern technology.</p> Mr.Ratchamongkon Chareanpol Jirayu Supsin Chai Samorabhoom Copyright (c) 2025 Academic Journal of Graduate School 2025-10-20 2025-10-20 3 3 1 12 การพัฒนาหนังสือส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น เรื่อง สู่ขวัญข้าว กลุ่มชาติพันธุ์กูย - เขมร สุรินทร์ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 https://so13.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajgs/article/view/2505 <p><strong>Abstract&nbsp; </strong></p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This research article aimed to 1) study the community context and cultural knowledge related to the rice blessing ceremony of the Kuay–Khmer ethnic groups in Surin Province, 2) develop and evaluate the quality of a local culture-based learning promotion book titled “Rice Blessing Ceremony” for Grade 9 students, and 3) investigate the learning achievement and student satisfaction after using the developed book. The study employed a Research and Development (R&amp;D) design. The target group consisted of 24 Grade 9 students from Ban Sakad School, Surin Province, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included interviews, expert evaluation forms for the book, pre- tests and post-tests, and a satisfaction questionnaire.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The findings revealed that 1) the rice blessing ceremony among the Kuay–Khmer community consists of essential components, including the worship of the Rice Goddess (Mae Posop), preparation of ritual offerings, performance of the ritual by village elders, and a celebration after the ceremony. The ritual reflects the community's faith, local wisdom, and its role in fostering unity. 2) The developed book was rated by experts as being of very good quality (mean score &nbsp;= 4.69) and met the 80/80 efficiency criterion with an &nbsp;score of 81.66/84.66. 3) Students’ post-test scores were significantly higher than their pre-test scores at the .05 level (pre-test mean = 12.87, post-test mean = 21.16), and student satisfaction with the book was at a high to very high level, particularly in terms of content, presentation style, and illustrations.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The research findings demonstrate that the developed book is an effective learning tool for integrating local cultural knowledge into the learning process, promoting identity-based education in an appropriate and sustainable manner.</p> <p><strong>Keywords :</strong> Local culture, Rice blessing ceremony, Kuay–Khmer ethnic groups, Learning promotion book</p> niramon yoosabay Bhadthara Intrakamhang Peerawat Inthawee Copyright (c) 2025 Academic Journal of Graduate School 2025-11-28 2025-11-28 3 3 65 77 DEVELOPMENT OF NATIVE CHICKEN BREED’S SURIN https://so13.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajgs/article/view/2569 <p>This research aimed to develop a Surin native chicken breed through crossbreeding between Surin native male chickens and Rhode Island Red female chickens. The objectives were to examine the physical characteristics, growth performance, and feed utilization efficiency of the offspring. The findings revealed that the first-generation hybrid chickens exhibited distinct physical traits. The majority showed yellow shanks, beaks, and feathers 81.11%, while pale yellow coloration was observed in 18.89%. Males had upright combs and long, pointed feathers, whereas females were characterized by shorter, stockier bodies, shorter feathers, and less prominent combs. Regarding growth performance, the average body weight increased consistently with age. From an average of 31.3 grams at birth, the weight rose to 1,103.46 grams at 10 weeks of age. The daily weight gain ranged from 8.11 to 7.18 grams during the first 2 weeks and increased to 16.42–15.29 grams during weeks 6 to 10, indicating good growth potential. In terms of feed efficiency, the average daily feed intake increased with age, from 23.79–21.32 grams/day during weeks 0–2, to 46.56–45.53 grams/day during weeks 6–10. The feed conversion ratio ranged from 1.34 to 2.60, which is considered economically viable for small-scale poultry farming. The mortality rate of the hybrid chickens was notably low, at only 1.11% throughout the rearing period, reflecting both genetic resilience and adaptability to local environmental conditions. The sample used in this research consisted of 308 teachers in educational institutions under the mentioned jurisdiction, selected using stratified random sampling based on school size. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, with content validity ranging between 0.67–1.00 and a reliability coefficient of 0.89. The highest mean score was in the area of digital vision and technology competency, followed by digital culture development, digital competency in personnel management, digital technology usage in organizational management, and lastly, the use of technology for assessment and organizational development. 2) The administrators’ competencies in 21<sup>st</sup> century educational management were also at a high level. The highest average scores were found in flexibility and adaptability, followed by leadership and accountability, social and cross-cultural skills, initiative and self-direction, and creativity, innovation, and responsibility. 3) In overall aspect, the relationship between digital leadership of school administrators and 21<sup>st</sup> century administrative skills had a middle positive correlation.</p> Sutidaporn Yamsilp Saroch Pauwongsakul Copyright (c) 2025 Academic Journal of Graduate School 2025-10-22 2025-10-22 3 3 13 25
