The Development of Natural-Based Tactile Kits to Enhance Fine Motor Skills of Kindergarten Level 2 Students at Ban Kaeng Nang School, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province
THE DEVELOPMENT OF NATURAL-BASED TACTILE KITS TO ENHANCE FINE MOTOR SKILLS OF KINDERGARTEN LEVEL 2 STUDENTS

This research aimed to develop a natural touch kit to promote fine motor skills among kindergarten level 2 children and to study the learning achievement in fine motor skill development before and after using the natural touch kit. The target group consisted of 26 kindergarten level 2 children from Ban Kaeng Nang School, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province, who were selected through purposive sampling, as they were students under the instruction of the researcher. The research instruments included: (1) five experiential learning plans under the theme "Our Community," each lasting 20 minutes, (2) a developmental assessment form measuring fine motor skill ability with 3 items and a total of 9 points, and (3) qualitative evaluation conducted through descriptive analysis.
The research findings indicated that the use of the natural touch kit enhanced the fine motor skills of kindergarten level 2 children. The results revealed that: (1) the experiential learning plans were of high quality and appropriateness, with a mean score of 4.24, rated at a high level; (2) the fine motor skill assessment form was highly appropriate, with a mean score of 4.87, rated at the highest level; and (3) the children’s post-learning achievement in fine motor skills using the natural touch kit was significantly higher than their pre-learning performance at the .05 level of statistical significance. These findings suggest that the natural touch kit developed by the researcher can effectively promote fine motor skill development in kindergarten level 2 children.
