FACTORS AFFECTING ON ATTITUDE TOWARDS THAI LANGUAGE LEARNING OF PRIMARY 6th GRADE STUDENTS IN BANDAN DISTRICT UNDER THE BURIRAM PRIMARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

            The purposes of this research were 1) to study the relationship between various factors and attitudes towards learning Thai subjects 2) to study the multiplication correlation between various factors and attitudes towards learning Thai subjects and 3) to create equations to predict factors that affect attitudes towards learning Thai subjects. The sample were 239 student’s 6^th grade students in the academic year 2023 in Ban Dan. The research instrument is Rating Scale Questionnaire. Statistics include mean, standard deviation, Pearson product moment correlation and a stepwise multiple regression analysis

            The results were 1) the correlation coefficient between the predictive variable and the threshold variable; It is determined by the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results showed positively correlated with attitude towards learning Thai language were statistically significant at .05 level  2) It was found that 3 factors were statistically significant in explaining or predicting attitudes towards learning Thai language was statistically significant at 0.05 level with a multiple correlation coefficient of .753 and a variability in attitudes towards learning Thai (R²) of 56.70%. and 3) The prediction equations of Attitude Towards Thai Language Learning of Primary 6th Grade Students that had raw scores was Y´ =  .524 + .410X₅ + .232X₁ + .158X₃ and standard scores was Z´_Y =  .447Z_X5 + .249Z_X1 + .166Z_X3
