Problems in the Preparation for Handball Teams of The Demonstration Schools Participating in the 47th Demonstration School Games

Abstract
In this thesis, the researcher examines the problems concerning the preparation for handball teams of the demonstration schools participating in the 47th Demonstration School Games and compares the problems under study classified by the level of education.
The sample population consisted of fifteen team personnel and 210 athletes, a total of 225 subjects using the technique of simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire eliciting the problems in the preparation for handball teams of the demonstration schools participating in the 47th Demonstration School Games. The statistics used in data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The technique of independent t - test was also employed.
Findings are as follows:
1. The problems in the preparation for the handball teams overall exhibited the mean at an average level ( = 3.46). When considered in each aspect, the following was found. The training process was at a high level (
= 3.52). Next in descending order at a moderate level were training venues and equipment (
= 3.48); budget and welfare (
= 3.42); and athlete selection (
= 3.41).
2. The comparison of problems classified by the level of education found to exhibit differences at the statistically significant level of .05
