Abstract

This objectives of this research were 1) study the strategic leadership of school administrators in 5 aspects, namely: strategic direction setting, organizational resource management, promoting an effective organizational culture, focusing on ethical practice, and establishing balanced organizational control; and 2) compare the strategic leadership of school administrators, classified by educational qualification and work experience. The sample consisted of 239 administrators and teachers in schools within the Ratchawipha Cluster, under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as One-Way ANOVA. Where differences were found, pairwise comparisons were conducted using Scheffé's method.

The results revealed that: 1) Overall, the strategic leadership of school administrators was at the highest level. The aspect of focusing on ethical practice had the highest mean score, followed by the aspect of strategic direction setting. This indicates that school administrators place importance on being good role models, possessing honesty and integrity, and being able
to set organizational goals. 2) The comparison results of strategic leadership among school administrators, classified by educational qualification and work experience, showed statistically significant differences both overall and in each individual aspect at the .05 level.
