DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRONIC BOOKS TO PROMOTE LEARNING OF A BEGINNER LEVEL CHINESE LANGUAGE COURSE FOR STUDENTS OF YALA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop an electronic book to promote the learning of a beginner level Chinese language course for Yala Rajabhat University students to have efficiency according to the 80/80 criterion, and 2) To study academic achievement through electronic books promoting the learning of a beginner Chinese language courses for Yala Rajabhat University students. The sample group used to find the efficiency of an e-book was 36 Bachelor of Arts program students from Chinese language major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yala Rajabhat University who were studying in the first semester of the academic year 2022, and the sample for studying academic achievement was obtained by purposive selection from Yala Rajabhat University students who registered to study free elective courses in the beginner Chinese language course, semester 1, academic year 2022, totaling 40 people. Statistics used in data analysis included mean, standard deviation and Dependent t-test statistics. The research results found that the efficiency of the e-books developed by the researcher were 82.95/81.03, which was in accordance with the 80/80 criteria set forth. The academic achievement through electronic books found that the average score after studying was significantly higher than before studying at the .05 level.
