Participation of parents in the educational management of Ban Pluak Daeng School under the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) the participation of parents in the educational management of Ban Pluak Daeng School. Under the jurisdiction of the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and 2) Guidelines for developing parental participation in education Ban Pluak Daeng School under the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. Sample group used for study there were 306 parents. The instrument used to collect data was opinion questionnaire and structured interview. Statistics used in data analysis include frequency, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.

            The research results found that

            1) Participation of parents in the educational management of Ban Pluak Daeng School under the jurisdiction of the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, the overall average was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the highest average was the relationship between home and school followed by creating experiences for children at home, and the lowest was teaching and learning.    

            2) Guidelines for parental participation in educational management at Ban Pluak Daeng School under the Office of Rayong Primary Educational Service Area 1, there were the following guidelines:                 1) Parents who have knowledge in various fields should be given come join in transferring knowledge or experiences to students. 2) Projects or activities should be organized that can develop children's 21st century skills. 3) Training should be organized for parents to understand the importance of raising their children by themselves and understand the role and duties of parents.
