The Characteristics of Science Center for Education Administrators under the supervision of Department of Learning Encouragement, Ministry of Education

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) To investigate the characteristics of administrators
of science centers for education under the Department of Learning Promotion, Ministry of
Education. 2) To develop guidelines for enhancing the characteristics of science center
administrators for education under the Department of Learning Promotion, Ministry of Education.
The sample consisted of 57 people. Research methodologies included questionnaires and
interviews. Data analysis employed statistical methods such as frequency, percentage, mean,
standard deviation, and content analysis.
The results of the research revealed the following findings: 1) Characteristics of the of
administrators at the Science Center for Education under the Department of Learning
Encouragement, Ministry of Education, are rated highly. Among the various evaluated aspects,
'personality' scored the highest, followed by 'morality and ethics.', and 'leadership' received
the lowest average rating. 2) Guidelines for developing executive characteristics of science
center for education are as follows: 2.1) Vision and Teamwork: Emphasize the importance of
having a clear vision, promoting, and supporting teamwork. It is advisable to organize activities
that enhance interpersonal relationships. 2.2) Systematic Information Management:
Administrators should manage and present information in a systematic, accurate, reliable, and
engaging manner. 2.3) In terms of leadership, must have problem-solving skills. 2.4) Human
Relations: It is crucial to maintain excellent human relations, foster strong connections with
personnel, and boost morale through respectful and motivational communication.
2.5) Innovation and Technology: Continuous self-development in innovation and technology.
Administrators should stay abreast of new technologies, encourage creative ideas, and support
innovative initiatives. 2.6) Morality and Ethics: Upholding moral and ethical standards is vital,
including adherence to the four Brahmavihāra principles—kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy,
and equanimity. 2.7) Personable Interaction: Engage in communication that is polite, sweet, and
melodious, appropriate to the occasion and person. A polite, gentle, and respectful demeanor
should be maintained at all times.
