The purpose of this study was 1) To study participation in school administration by the Basic Education Commission for schools under the Surat Thani Primary Education Service area office 3. 2) To study the promotion guidelines for participation in school administration by the Basic Education Commission for schools under the Surat Thani primary education service area office 3. Information providers including the Basic Education Commission for Opportunity expansion schools under the Surat Thani primary education service area office 3, two people per school including the chairman and a secretary of the Basic Education Commission for schools. In total, there were 64 informants. The tools used in the research were an opinion questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. Statistics used in research are frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The findings indicated that:
- The participation in school administration by the basic education commission for schools under the Surat Thani Primary Education Service area office 3. The overall average level is at a high level. Considering each aspect, it was found that the highest average is general administration, the next average is academic administration, and the lowest average is budget management.
- The promotion guidelines for participation in school administration by the Basic Education Commission for schools under the Surat Thani primary education service area office 3 include (1) Providing opportunities for school committees to take part in supervising, monitoring, evaluating the usage, and developing the curriculum continuously. (2) Providing opportunities for school committees to participate in planning budget spending together with school administrators. (3) Encouraging school committees to participate as lecturers to provide knowledge and information according to expertise. (4) Providing opportunities for school committees to participate in planning and setting standards for school administrative work.
