Management Skills of Early Childhood Development Center AdminIstrators, Phatthalung Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) the administrative skills of administrators of early childhood development centers under local administrative organizations in Mueang District, Phatthalung Province, and 2) guidelines for developing the administrative skills of administrators of early childhood development centers under local administrative organizations in Mueang District, Phatthalung Province.

This research was a descriptive study. The population used in this study consisted of 60 administrators of early childhood development centers and childcare teachers. The research instruments were opinion questionnaires and structured interviews. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis from the structured interviews.

          The research results showed that: 1) The overall mean of the administrative skills of administrators of early childhood development centers under local administrative organizations in Mueang District, Phatthalung Province, was at a high level. 2) Guidelines for developing the skills of administrators of early childhood development centers were also identified. Affiliated with the local government organization, Mueang District, Phatthalung Province, as follows: (1) The administrator should provide advice and encourage teachers to use different techniques and methods in their work appropriately. (2) The administrator should encourage and support everyone in the child development center to participate in expressing opinions at every stage of the work. (3) The administrator should solve various problems by analyzing the causes.
