THE CORPORATE GOVERNANCE OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE KURAO THONG NETWORK CENTER UNDER THE OFFICE OF NARATHIWAT PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to investigate the good governance of school administrators within the Kurao Thong Network Center under the Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2; and 2) to determine the development guidelines for their good governance. The research sample comprised 152 teachers within the Kurao Thong Network Center. The research instruments employed were an opinion questionnaire and a structured interview form. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The research findings revealed that:
1) The overall good governance of school administrators in the Kurao Thong Network Center under the Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at a high level. Individually, the dimension with the highest mean score was effectiveness, whereas the lowest was morality and ethics.
2) Regarding the guidelines for development, a consensus among three experts proposed five key approaches: 1) conducting monthly or quarterly progress-tracking meetings; 2) organizing semesterly meetings for teachers and relevant stakeholders; 3) convening collaborative team meetings to review progress reports, analyze problems, and formulate improvement strategies; 4) engaging in dialogue and employing case studies to foster awareness among teachers and staff regarding equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their diverse backgrounds; and 5) inviting school board members and community representatives to participate in educational development planning meetings to provide recommendations and reflect genuine local needs.
