Abstract

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the internal supervision practices in the Bang Len Tai school group under the Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, and 2) to identify approaches for enhancing internal supervision within the same group. The population consisted of 111 school administrators and teachers from eight schools in the Bang Len Tai school group. The sample size of 92 participants was determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size table. The research instruments included a questionnaire and a structured interview form. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The results of the research found that:

  1. The internal supervision in schools within the Bang Len Tai group, under the Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, was found to be at a high overall level. When considering each aspect individually, the highest average was in the area of resource allocation, followed by task prioritization, while the lowest average was in the area of work process design.
  2. The proposed guidelines for improving internal supervision include: 1) Study and analyze the local context, including strengths and specific needs of the community 2) Promote stakeholder participation in analyzing the school’s environment and data to guide development. 3) Develop assessment tools aligned with the curriculum at each educational level; for early childhood education in particular, emphasize holistic assessment in physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development rather than focusing solely on academic achievement. 4) Select personnel with knowledge, competencies, and skills in educational supervision. 5) Encourage positive post-supervision discussions that promote mutual reflection and shared thinking. 6) Evaluate teacher satisfaction and the impact of supervision to adjust approaches appropriately and achieve real behavioral or performance improvement.
