ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE NAKHON PATHOM DISTRICT SCHOOL GROUP, UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE NAKHON PATHOM PRIMARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA 2

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study academic leadership of school administrators in the Nakhon Chai Si school group under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 2 of Nakhon Pathom and 2) develop academic leadership guidelines for school administrators in the Nakhon Chai Si school group under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 2 of Nakhon Pathom. The population used was 141 school administrators and teachers in the Nakhon Chai Si school group from 9 schools. The sample consisted of 103 people. The instruments used for data collection were opinion questionnaires and structured interviews conducted by 3 interview experts. The results of the research found that 1. Academic leadership of school administrators in the Nakhon Chai Si school group had an overall average score of high. When considering each aspect, the overall average score was high. When considering each aspect, the persuasiveness had the highest average score, followed by good social interaction, and acceptance had the lowest average score. 2. The guidelines for developing academic leadership of school administrators in the Nakhon Chai Si school group under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 2 of Nakhon Pathom were as follows: 1) Administrators gave teachers an opportunity to participate in expressing their opinions and planning their work. Make teachers feel valued and important in the organization 2) Executives allow knowledgeable and capable people to come in and help solve problems in the educational institution 3) Executives show respect, encouragement and sincerity to co-workers (4) Executives encourage personnel to advance in their careers and gain higher qualifications 5) Executives use polite language and manners with personnel of the educational institution 6) Executives facilitate tools and equipment for work 7) Executives participate in community relations activities as appropriate.
