ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION ON THE USE OF MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY FOR EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA 1, RATCHABURI

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to 1) study the academic administration of media and technology for education in schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Ratchaburi, and 2) study the development guidelines for academic administration of media and technology for education in schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Ratchaburi, classified by the level of education management and school size. The population consisted of 154 schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Ratchaburi, and 1,790 teachers. The sample group was estimated by using the Taro Yamane table (Taro Yamane, 1967, p.886). The sample size was 441 people. The research instruments were questionnaires and structured interviews, with 6 experts interviewed.

The results of the research found that:

1. Academic administration in the use of media and technology for education of schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Ratchaburi Province, the overall average score is at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the highest average score was educational innovation, followed by educational media, and the lowest was educational technology.
2. Development guidelines that 3 experts agreed on regarding academic administration in the use of media and technology for education of schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Ratchaburi Province, are as follows: (1) Administrators evaluate the media and technology used to match the indicators that teachers teach. (2) Administrators evaluate the use of teaching media in the classroom. (3) Administrators have teachers summarize their training every time. (4) Teachers always have new educational innovations. (5) Administrators always recommend teachers’ innovation development.
