Administration skills of school administrators affecting internal quality assurance in educational institutions under the Office of Chumphon Primary Educational Service Area 2.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with the following objectives: 1) to study the level of management skills of administrators, 2) to assess the level of internal quality assurance operations in schools, and 3) to analyze the effect of administrators' management skills on the internal quality assurance operations in schools under the Chumphon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample consisted of 297 school administrators and teachers selected from a population of 1,306 individuals using stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with an overall reliability score of 0.927. The data were analyzed using statistical methods such as percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The research findings revealed that: 1) the overall level of management skills of the administrators was high, with the highest average score in educational and teaching skills, followed by conceptual skills, while cognitive knowledge skills had the lowest average score; 2) the overall level of internal quality assurance operations in schools was high, with the highest average score in setting educational standards, followed by the implementation of information technology systems to support management and learning, while the lowest average score was in creating physical and social environments conducive to quality learning; and 3) the management skills of the administrators had a significant impact on the internal quality assurance operations in schools under the Chumphon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, with a multiple correlation coefficient of 0.890. The factors that most influenced quality assurance operations were, in order of impact, technical skills, cognitive knowledge skills, human skills, and educational and teaching skills. These factors significantly affected internal quality assurance operations at a .01 significance level and could predict 79.10% of the variance in internal quality assurance operations.
