Integrating The Four Noble Truths into The Management of World-Class Standard Schools with OBECQA Criteria for Excellence

Abstract

This article presents The Four Noble Truths in the management of World-Class Standard Schools with OBECQA criteria for excellence. Because in the 21st century, global society is facing complex challenges and high competition, making it necessary for education to reform to create global citizens. World-Class Standard Schools, therefore, must rely on efficient systematic management tools, and the OBECQA criteria B.E. 2565-2568 (2022-2025) is the most complete framework for operations towards excellence. By synthesizing the OBECQA conceptual framework, which divides management components into 7 categories, organized into 3 main groups, namely: 1) The Leadership group, responsible for setting direction; 2) The System Foundation group, serving as the 'brain’ for data analysis; and 3) The Results group, which is the core of actual implementation by personnel and processes. This article proposes the integration of the Four Noble Truths principles, which is a universal and scientific problem-solving process, as a framework for driving implementation. Namely: Dukkha is acknowledging results that have not yet met their goals; Samudaya is using data to analyze the root causes; Nirodha is setting the vision and strategy as the target; and Magga is taking action through personnel and processes. This integration helps shift management from ad-hoc problem solving to sustainable development, leading the organization to true excellence.
