Factors Affecting Participation of Public Health Volunteers in COVID-19 Prevention and Control

Abstract

This Cross-sectional quantitative research article was to study factors affecting participation of public health volunteers in COVID-19 prevention and Control. The lottery samplings were 103 public health volunteers at Ban Nong Phai Tambon Health Promoting Hospital. A questionnaire was constructed.  The Data was collecting in July to August 2023. The statistical analysis mean used in this study are methodology of collective interview data, from frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, T-test and F-test. As the research result, it is found as follow :The most of samplings were female (72.8%), aged between 51-60 years old (50.5%), primary education level (57.3%), social status, couple (80.6%), occupation: farmers (88.3%), distance Work time for public health volunteers, 5-10 years of work (23.3%). Results of Participation of Public Health Volunteers in COVID-19 Prevention and Control were found that the overall level was at a high level (  = 4.27) By considering from the most to the least as follows: Participation in operation was at a high level (= 4.39), participation in receiving operating benefits was at a high level (=4.32), participation in decision making was at a high level       (= 4.18), and Participation in the evaluation was at a high level (= 4.17). To compare the difference between the mean of participation and test the  difference between the mean of factors affecting the participation of COVID-19 prevention and control operations of public health volunteers overall and side Participation in decision-making Participation in operations Participation in receiving benefits Participation in the evaluation classified by gender, age, education level marital status, occupation and length of service By testing the difference between the mean of 2 groups by using t-test and testing between the mean of more than 2 groups by using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The difference was statistically significant at the level of 0.05.
