The Creating Consciousness and Behavior for Sustainable Waste Management with The Zero Waste Concept

Abstract
The purpose of this article was to study Zero Waste as a waste management concept that eliminate waste generation by maximizing resource utilization and minimizing waste production. This approach adheres to the 1A3R principles: Avoid: Refrain from using items that generate additional waste, Reduce: Minimize the use of waste-generating materials, Reuse: Utilize items for multiple purposes, Recycle: Reprocess and reuse materials. The creating consciousness and behavior for sustainable waste management with the Zero Waste concept can be achieved through three key strategies: 1) Raising awareness about Zero Waste management; 2) Establishing communities as Zero Waste hubs; 3) Developing effective Zero waste management innovations. When individuals and society become aware of the significance of waste management, it willinstill a sense of responsibility that will persist throughout their lives. Achieving effective and sustainable waste management in Thailand requires collaboration from the government, private sector, civil society, and the general public that will lead waste management in Thailand efficiency and sustainability.
