The Utilizing the Results of Educational Institution Quality Assurance to Raise the Level Educational Institutions according to the Principles of Iddhipada IV

Abstract

The purpose of this article was the use of educational quality assurance results to improve the quality of education by integrating the Buddha’s principles of Iddhipada IV (the Four Bases for success) consisting of:  Chanda (will), Viriya (effort), Citta (active thought), and Vimansa (investigation), which are principles that point the way to success. They are like a compass that guides individuals to reach their goals with certainty.                    They are applied in the quality assurance process within educational institutions to promote continuous development of educational quality. The results of the study found that the application of Iddhipada IV                 (the Four Bases for success) in the educational quality assurance process helps promote development in various aspects, including the curriculum, curriculum improvement to be up-to-date, consistent with current technology and trends, and consistent with learners’ needs, such as increasing communication skills and problem-solving in the curriculum; personnel, developing teachers and personnel to have skills and abilities in educational management, such as organizing training to develop teaching skills, research, using information technology or development in educational psychology to increase personnel’s ability to work efficiently, such as promoting teachers and administrators to develop in teaching management that focuses on learners; and resource management, allocating resources to maximum benefit, such as purchasing modern teaching media, developing smart classrooms, increasing laboratories, and managing personnel resources appropriately. The application of Iddhipada IV (the Four Bases for success or the four powers) to improve the quality of educational institutions results in educational institutions having higher standards and quality. Students have better academic achievement, have desirable characteristics, and are ready to live in society.
