The Development of Student Care and Assistance System in accordance with Buddhist Principles

Abstract
The purpose of this article was the development of student care and assistance system in educational institutions is a systematic process aimed at improving the effectiveness of student support services. It consists of four steps: 1) Planning and understanding, which involves raising awareness of the importance of student care; 2) Implementation of the student support system in five areas: individual student profiling, student screening, student promotion, problem prevention and resolution, and referral Integrating Buddhist principles, namely Saṅgahavatthu 4, consisting of Dana: giving, Piyavaca: kindly speech, Attacariya: useful conduct, Samanattata: equality consisting in impartiality; 3) Monitoring, guidance, tracking, and evaluation; and 4) Remedial actions, improvement, and standard setting, which enhance the efficiency of the student support system, leading to continuous development and positive outcomes for students, advisory teachers, and relevant stakeholders who can provide timely and effective assistance, guidance, and development to students.
