THE DEVELOPMENT OF NETWORK TO EXPAND SUPPORTING SYSTEM ON COMPETENCY-BASED LEARNING IN SONGHLA PROVINCE SCHOOLS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop the design and competency-based learning management supporting  system of model school and pilot schools at basic education level  in Songkhla Province area  2) to develop a network to expand the use of the design and competency-based learning management supporting  system from model school to pilot schools at basic education level  in Songkhla Province area .The population were  schools  at the basic education level in Songkhla province area . The sample group were schools  at the basic education level in Songkhla province area , which were  obtained from the selection according to the operation criteria. Conducted research in 4 phases :1) preparation, 2) operations, 3) data collection, and 4) data analysis and summary. Research tools were questionnaires, interviews, and focus groups issues : Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) was equal to 1.00 . Data collecting : collected data with questionnaires from  30 people ; 24 teachers and 6 administrators  , interviewed 15 people ; 9 teachers and 6 administrators and  focus groups ; 9 teachers and 6 administrators . Data were analyzed by using average , standard deviation , percentages  and  content analysis. The research results were : 1) two types of supporting systems have developed in this research ; (1)  competency-based learning management supporting  system of model school and pilot schools  that different according to the  school context and (2)   system for creating a network to expand the competency-based learning management supporting  system  from model school to pilot schools that had  4 parts and each part connected :  Important knowledge, processes,  results, and mentoring roles 2) results of  the expansion about  the competency-based learning management supporting system from model school to pilot schools found as follows  (1) the model school has operated in 2 phases: the preparation  and the implementation  for expanding  (2) every  schools has used  professional learning community in teacher development  (3) model school and pilot schools  has used   the original 6 competency-based learning approaches and discovered 1 new  approach (4) both administrators and teachers in model school and pilot schools  has been  change (5) learners developed competencies at a high level
