Abstract

This article aims to present instructional approaches for the course “Innovation and Technology for Music” under the revised 2022 Bachelor of Music curriculum at College of Music,

 Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. In this course, classes are conducted by instructors specializing in music innovation and technology, using a teaching approach designed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in designing and creating music-related innovations and technologies. This approach follows the principles of design thinking, with a five-step process for innovation design.

          Instructors have designed activities to engage students in learning the steps for creating music innovations though design-thinking principles. This process encourages students to produce music innovations that meet the needs of a diverse range of users in the music profession, The process ultimately leads to students drafring prototypes of music innovations based on their creativity, such as potential future inventions that could address the needs of music usage and careers in music in the foreseeable future.
