The Concept of Practicing Wind Instruments According to the Guidelines of Atsuchi Yamashita Ozawa

Abstract

This article aims to present method and wind band rehearsal concept according to the guidelines of Atsushi Yamashita Ozawa, who composed Japan Band Clinic Method which is a summary of the knowledge gained from the lecture of Atsushi Yamashita Ozawa during the WAMSB Championship 2022 on July 13, 2022, at Main Hall, Thailand Cultural Center.
Atsushi Yamashita Ozawa’s rehearsal concept used Japan Band Clinic method as a tool for explaining concepts and teaching methods to present teaching with daily exercise p.2 (P.B.) which is the basis for beginner musicians or primary school until high school level. Daily exercise are 7 variations in one exercise consists of: long note, the first scale, the second scale, the third scale, cadences, arpeggio, and the lip slur.
