Evidence of prosecution Pre-history of Thailand and its appearance in Buddhism

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to disseminate the knowledge of the history of singing in the pre-Historical period of Thailand and that appeared in Buddhism; (2) to create a systematic knowledge base on the history of Thai singing. using qualitative research methods Data were collected by both structured and unstructured interviews. The results showed that found important evidence of singing in the prehistoric period of Thailand There are 4 evidences of inscriptions: inscriptions in Narai Cave, Saraburi Province, inscriptions on copper plates. Suphan Buri Province, Stone Shrine Inscriptions, Lop Buri Province, and Sdok Kok Thom Inscriptions, Sa Kaeo Province. One sculpture evidence was found: stucco sculptures of 5 musicians in Khu Bua Ancient City, Ratchaburi Province. Evidence of singing appeared in Buddhism. Nine evidences were found as follows: Lilitvistra, Mahaparinirvana Sutra, Mangalatthadipani, Kuttil Jataka, Mahapurisarasana, Mongkol Sutta, Sippana Sutra, Dhammapada Commentary ( part 6), and Silakhanthanak. The researcher has compiled the basic information together. It can reflect the overall characteristics of singing in the pre-Historical period of Thailand and that appeared in Buddhism for consideration.
