Prince Paribatra The Father of Westernize Thai Music

Abstract

Westernize Thai music is a word that occurred during the period of Field Marshal P. Pibulsongkram around the year 1937-1939. Western music bands have been established in various government agencies. Before the term Westernize Thai music, Thailand has had Westernize Thai music before with different styles for each era, but not call Westernize Thai music. When refer to Westernize Thai music in Thailand one important person who is considered the creator of Westernize Thai music in Thailand, and is an important person in music and military in Thailand that everyone must think of is “Prince Paribatra” or as we know in the full name “Field Marshal Ship Marshal His Royal Highness Prince Paribatra Sukhumbhand”. He is a leader in writing melodies in accordance with the standards and rules of Western music, wrote a song for the military band. Compose and writing with Western music notation.
