Creative Song for Symphonic Band : Southern Thai Folksong Fantasia

Abstract

This research article is a historical study. Musical structure about Southern Thai folksong to create a song composition as a way to preserve. Thai folksong to be more known. By the researcher, the song Tanyong which is a song that is interesting in terms of rhythm and the main melody is easily accessible to the listener.

          The research found that the method of arranging for the wind orchestra A body of knowledge in anthropology is required to select songs with a clear melody structure. There are rhythms that can be applied. In arranging, you need to understand the tone, chords, rhythm, and proper harmonization. The research resulted in the production of Southern Thai Folksong Fantasia from only one melody with a 4.03 minute.
