The Satisfaction of the First-Year Students Toward the Online Teaching and Learning Management in Ear Training, College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University

Abstract

The Research on Satisfaction of the first-year students toward the online teaching and learning in Ear Training class of College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University aims to study the satisfaction of first-year students towards online teaching and learning in Ear Training class of College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University amid the pandemic of the Coronavirus 2019, to understand the satisfaction in 4 aspects, namely 1) the teacher’s preparation for online teaching and learning management. Objectives setting, 2) teaching quality and teaching methods, 3) teaching measurement and evaluation, and 4) media and programs selection for online teaching.

          The results of the research were as follow: The researcher had studied the satisfaction from a sample group of 91 first-year students from 2 classes as follows: Ear Training and Ear Training 1. Both have different contents, skills, and learning outcomes for both courses. According to the research for overall satisfaction toward online teaching and learning management; it was found that the sample group of 29 students in Ear training class who are the Bachelor of Music students, majoring in Western music, had the highest level of satisfaction with the online learning model with an average of 4.51. While another sample group of 62 students in Ear training class who are the Bachelor of Education students in the western Music Education program had a high level of satisfaction with the online learning, with an average of 4.33.
