An Arrangement of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Lay kram goes Dixie for Brass Quintet

Abstract

The arrangement of Lay kram Goes Dixie is the 23^rd of King Rama IX by celebrating particular Lay kram band. It was an arrangement for the Brass Quintet to be used in participating in 2018 as Zero brass, Thailand International Wind Ensemble Competition 2018. Zero brass won the Third prize and popular vote awards. The arrangement is divided into two melodies; with the first major melody use melody presented more clearly the color of the main melody, and the second melody presenting the main melody from Ad libitum based on the Blues scale from the technique. Arranger of alternating sound genres is performed for a more distinct and more interesting.
