Abstract

This research article aims to develop basic performance skills exercises in performing the Khim (Thai dulcimer) for the song “Khaek Borathet Song Chan” for students of the Thai Classical Music Club, Watratbamrung School (Saiwarat Uppatham) and to study academic achievement using basic performance training exercises of the Khim. This research was conducted based on basic performance skills exercises of the Khim for the song “Khaek Borathet Song Chan”

          The result of the research has found that the results of the evaluation of the mean, standard deviation and level of consistency of the basic Khim performance for the song “Khaek Borathet Song Chan” for students of the Thai Classical Music Club, Watratbamrung School (Saiwarat Uppatham) all items are consistent with the consistency assessment, the comprehensiveness of the Khim performance skills assessment and academic achievement using basic performance skills exercises in performing the Khim for the song “Khaek Borathet Song Chan” Before after using the exercises, it was found that the results of the comparison of academic achievements after practicing ( ) higher than before practicing ( ). assessment criteria at 0.05. This shows that using basic performance skills exercises in performing the Khim for the song “Khaek Borathet Song Chan” helps students practice skills in various matters about the arrangement of the dulcimer and performed the song “Khaek Borathet Song Chan” effectively.
