Abstract

This research aimed to 1) Study the anxiety of music performance of Lopburi youth band musician, 2) Propose a music practice model that reduces the anxiety of music performance in Lopburi youth band. The informants were teachers and musicians of secondary school in Lopburi total 6 school bands. The instruments used were interview forms covering 2 issues that covered the content of the study. Data were collected through interviews and observation. Data were analyzed inductively, classified, compared, triangulated, and confirmed by the information provider.

The research results found that 1) Music performance anxiety consisted of physical symptoms and mental symptoms. 2) The music practice model that reduced the anxiety of music performance consisted of individual practice, group practice, simulated practice, checking the readiness of musical instruments, physical and mental preparation, and positive encouragement and motivation.
