THE INTEGRATION OF IDDHIPĀDA IV TO PROMOTE THE CREATIVE LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Abstract

This article presents the integration of Iddhipāda IV (the Four Paths of Accomplishment) to promote the creative leadership of school administrators in the rapidly changing 21st century. It proposes using this Buddhist principle as a framework for developing creative leadership as follows: Chanda (Passion) serves as the driving force for creating an innovative Vision. Viriya (Perseverance) is the energy that transforms Imagination into tangible innovation, even when facing obstacles. Citta (Focus) is the tool that directs Flexibility and ensures thoughtful, timely decision-making. And Vīmaṃsā (Wisdom) is the process that elevates Problem-Solving into the creation of a sustainable learning culture through collective review and analysis. This process helps build a stable internal character for school administrators, fostering a leadership style that combines both the “science” and “art” of management. This, in turn, enables them to lead their institutions to achieve goals of excellence and transform them into truly creative and sustainable learning communities.
