MANAGEMENT OF EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND STUDENT ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP LIFE SKILLS IN THE BANI WORLD ERA

Abstract

This academic article aims to propose The BANI World is a concept conceived by Jamais Cascio, an American anthropologist who studies human behavior, informed by the various crises the world is facing, such as climate change, pandemics, inequality, and global uncertainty in conclusion, existing concepts such as VUCA are not suitable for the rapidly evolving world. A new concept, BANI, is needed. A BANI world consists of 1) a brittle world (B – Brittle), 2) a world full of anxiety (A – Anxious), 3) a world that is difficult to predict (N – Nonlinear), and 4) a world that is difficult to understand (I– Incomprehensible) Therefore, the process of managing extra-curricular activities and student activities to develop life skills in the BANI World era consists of 6 steps: 1) Curriculum management planning is the process of creating a curriculum at the educational institution level. 2) Planning the use of the curriculum is the preparation for using the school curriculum that has been created in the classroom by teachers. 3) Organizing media and learning resources for using the curriculum is the process of promoting and supporting resources for using the curriculum. 4) Implementation of the curriculum means implementing the curriculum in managing student learning. Supervision and monitoring of the curriculum means supervising and monitoring the curriculum in managing student learning 6. Curriculum use evaluation is the process of evaluating the use of the curriculum in managing student learning. The whole process is to develop life skills that will help students who are teenagers/school age to be able to face various situations that occur in daily life effectively.
