Developing Strategic Management Guidelines for Recruiting Sport Players to Become Representative of College for Intercollegiate Sports in the Shandong College of Highway Technician, China

The purpose of this study was to develop strategic management guidelines for recruiting sport players to become representative of college for intercollegiate sports in Shandong College of Highway Technician, China. The samples consisted of 385 students and 20 teachers. The respondents were obtained through the stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected by using a questionnaire that was reviewed for item-objective congruence (IOC) by three specialists, with IOC values ranging from 0.67 to 1.00. The data were analyzed by using content analysis and descriptive statistics, including frequency, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings indicated that 1) needs for recruiting sport players to become representative of college for intercollegiate sports in the Shandong College of Highway Technician, China were all at the “High” level. 2) the strategic management guidelines for recruiting sport players to become representative of college for intercollegiate sports in the Shandong College of Highway Technician, China comprised of 8 parts, namely: 1) Background 2) Objectives , 3) Selection criteria , 4) Selection Procedure 4.1) Release of enrollment brochures 4.2) Registration and qualification review 4.3) Selection physical fitness test stage 4.4) Selection technical evaluation stage 4.5) Selection psychological test stage 4.6) Interview and comprehensive evaluation stage, 5) Training system 5.1) Formulate professional training plans 5.2) Professional coaching team 5.3) Strengthen theoretical learning 5.4) Mental health and physical training 5.5) Domestic and foreign exchanges and cooperation 5.6) Continuous follow-up evaluation, 6) Incentive mechanism 6.1) Scholarship system 6.2) Training support 6.3) Honor recognition 6.4) Further study benefits 6.5) Exchange and cooperation opportunities 6.6) Employment support, 7) Management measures 7.1) Formulate management rules and regulations 7.2) Establish personal files 7.3) Arrange professional coaching team 7.4) Academic management 7.5) Character education 7.6) Discipline constraints 7.7) Regular evaluation and assessment, and 8) Summary and feedback.
