Abstract

This academic article aimed to investigate the needs and guidelines for developing teachers' instructional management potential through the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) process, based on the literature review of concepts, theories, and research both domestically and internationally. The sample used in this study consisted of 17 teachers from Wat Sammaram School under the Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, obtained through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a rating scale questionnaire.

The results of the study revealed that the Professional Learning Community (PLC) was a process of creating change by learning from the collaborative practices of teacher groups who continuously engaged in knowledge sharing and instructional development to improve student outcomes. The core components of the PLC included shared vision, teamwork, distributed leadership, professional learning and development, and a community of trust. Regarding the key development guidelines, they comprised participatory goal setting, context-aligned instructional plan design, knowledge-sharing network creation, reflection and lesson plan improvement, implementation and observation, policy and budgetary support, as well as concluding and extending outcomes into instructional innovations. Furthermore, the success factors contributing to the efficient and sustainable operation of the PLC process depended on administrative leadership, time and resource allocation, cultivating a culture of trust, goal clarity, and continuous follow-up.
