Abstract

This study aimed to 1) Examine the level of health locus of control 2) Examine the level of quality of life 3)Investigate the relationship between health locus of control and quality of life among educational personnel under the Office of Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area 2.The sample consisted of 313 educational personnel. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The statistical methods employed for data analysis included frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient analysis.

The results of the study revealed that 1) The overall level of health locus of control was moderate. When considered by aspect, the highest mean score was found in internal health locus of control, followed by chance health locus of control, and the lowest was powerful others health locus of control. 2) The overall level of quality of life was also moderate. When considered by dimension, the highest was in the health dimension, followed by the social relationship dimension, and the lowest was the environmental dimension.3)The relationship between health locus of control and quality of life was positively correlated at a statistically significant level of 0.000. The analysis revealed that the multiple correlation coefficient (R) was 0.912, and the health locus of control could significantly explain 87.80% of the variance in quality of life (R² = 0.878) at the 0.01 level of significance. The hypothesis testing indicated that health locus of control had a positive effect on quality of life, with statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
