THE DEVELOPMENT OF NONFICTION WRITING ABILITY FOR MATHAYOMSUKSA 1 STUDENTS BY USING PLEASE STRATEGY WITH PEER ASSESSMENT

The purposes of the research were to 1) study the development of nonfiction writing ability of mathayomsuksa 1 students between learning by using PLEASE Strategy with peer assessment and 2) study the mathayomsuksa 1 students’ opinion toward PLEASE Strategy with peer assessment. The sample consisted of 38 students from mathayomsuksa 1 room 6, semester 2 in academic year 2025 at Kanchanapisek Wittayalai Nakhon Pathom (Pratamnak Suankularb Matthayom) School, obtained by cluster random sampling. The instruments used in this study were 1) Four nonfiction writing lesson plans, 2) Nonfiction writing ability test and 3) A questionnaire used to study students’ opinions about learning. The data was analyzed by mean (M), standard deviation (SD) and One - way repeated measures ANOVA. The results showed that the development in nonfiction writing ability of mathayomsuksa 1 students increased significantly at the .05 level of statistical significance and the opinions of mathayomsuksa 1 students toward PLEASE Strategy with peer assessment were in the highest level (M = 4.55, SD = .60)
