EVALUATION OF THE SUCCESS OF EXTENDING ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE AND TEACHING METHODS TO UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the suscess of Mahidol Wittayanusorn School in implementing the project in cooperation with Princess Chulabhorn Science High School in extending the body of academic knowledge and methods of teaching and learning to the upper secondary school network under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The human data source consisted of 4 groups: group 1 administrators and teachers of Princess Chulabhorn Science High School, 11 schools, group 2, teachers of network schools, population of 109 schools, group 3, Princess Chulabhorn Science High School students, 11 schools, and group 4 students from network schools. Questionnaires, interview questions, and focus groups were the data collection instruments. Item-Objective Congruence ranged from 0.67 – 1.00. Data analysis in the qualitative data section was done using content analysis. For the descriptive analysis, quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, standard deviation. The results showed that 1. Teachers in network schools were able to prepare active learning management plans appropriately at a high level (M = 4.41, SD = 0.47), and were capable of active learning management appropriately at a high level (M = 4.36, SD = 0.50). Students were satisfied with the teacher's learning management process at a high level (M = 4.01, SD = 0.75). 2. Knowledge expansion process and teaching methods of the project were appropriate at a high level (M = 4.47, SD = 0.50), and network school teachers had a good attitude towards the project at the highest level (M = 4.55, SD = 0.47). "Quality of speakers", "training content and activities", "media/materials, places and duration of training activities" and "monitoring and supervision" were at the highest level in all aspects (M = 4.42 to 4.57) 3. The effectiveness of the media/equipment received from the project was appropriate at the highest level (M = 4.52, SD = 0.57), the effect on teachers and students after using the media/equipment purchased from the budget Supported by Mahidol Wittayanusorn School in accordance with the objectives of the project.
