An Identity-Based Study for the Creative Design of the Salawan Dance Performance Honoring King Vajiralongkorn (Rama X)

Abstract

This research on the identity study for the design of the Sala Wan dance performance in honor of His Majesty the King Thotsamin Tharacha is praised for 1. A study of the identity and history of the Sala Wan dance performance, Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts. 2. To design a Salawan dance performance, Salawan dance set to celebrate His Majesty Thotsamin Thalim Racha. must be used in the ceremony to honor His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun in 2567, the auspicious year of his 72nd birthday. By studying the identity and elements of the Sala Wan dance, Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts, including dance moves, music, and costumes, and then adapting them under the concept of creative traditional Thai dance performance that still preserves the identity of folk arts. The Sala Wan dance performance in honor of His Majesty the King Thotsamin Tharacha is presented through dance moves, lyrics, and melodies to show loyalty reflecting Thainess and gratitude for the royal grace.
