Abstract

The study of Khon performance, "Thao Maliwarat Wakhwam" set, is a qualitative research in the form of conservation. The objectives are to study the evolution, characteristics, and compositional elements of the Khon performance in the Ramakien story, "Thao Maliwarat Wakhwam" set, and the transmission received from experts, in order to transmit the dance movements to undergraduate students in years 1-3, majoring in Thai Dance Studies, Department of Dance and Music, Faculty of Fine Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. It also aims to study the satisfaction of those who received the transmission of the dance movements using the theory of Thai dance learning management development. The research tools used were structured interviews. Data was collected through interviews combined with participant observation and non-participant observation.

The research results found that the performance style of the Khon performance, "Thao Maliwarat Wakhwam" set, tells the story through narration, dialogue, dancing according to the lyrics, and dancing according to the Phat Na Phat music in the style of Khon Rong Nai, with changing scenes according to the storyline in the style of Khon Chak. The performance is accompanied by a Piphat Mai Khaeng ensemble. The performers wear the standing costumes of Phra, Nang, Yak, and Ling. The dance movements were transmitted using the theory of Thai dance learning management to undergraduate students in years 1-3, majoring in Thai Dance Studies, Department of Dance and Music, Faculty of Fine Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. The results of the transmission of the dance movements showed satisfaction in terms of preparation, with an average score of 3.998, which is interpreted as a high level of satisfaction. In terms of transmission, the average score was 4.115, which is interpreted as the highest level of satisfaction.
